As you know, last Sunday was Peace’s 50th anniversary! And what a celebration we had! A huge thank you to everyone who took part in the preparation for the party! Kelly Van Fleet headed up the team for the decorations, food, and favors. Both of our musicians played their hearts out. Many people helped decorate, serve, and clean up after. Thank you!

If you happened to miss the celebration, I wanted to share a bit of what Bishop Stacie Fidlar said in her sermon. It all boiled down to a huge thank you to all of you! She thanked you for being part of this worshipping community. She thanked you for being faithful and hard working through the ups and downs of this ministry. She thanked you for being courageous in the face of adversity. She thanked you for serving the community around us. And most of all she thanked you for being like John the Baptist… a revolutionary… one who stood out among the crowd. One who made a difference and pointed to Christ.

So, I want to echo her comments and say thank you for all those things as well! Most of all… thank you for being the body of Christ as Peace Lutheran Church!

See you Sunday!
