This past Tuesday was All Saints Day… the day we celebrate all those who have gone before us and now are with God for eternity. This Sunday we will be celebrating it by singing a couple of our favorite “Saint” hymns and presenting white roses to families of any of our members who have died in the past year. It is a bittersweet day because we miss them, but there is joy in knowing they are now living in that special place prepared just for them.

One of my favorite funeral scriptures that gives me hope:

Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, so that where I am, there you may be also.

See you Sunday!
